We were thrilled when our son received an invitation to attend kindergarten at a local charter school. After you submit an application, a lottery is held to determine who will attend the school. With only a handful of open spots, and hundreds of applications, we were truly lucky to get an invitation. However, the downside is that the school is forty minutes away from our current home. After some discussion, my husband and I decided to work with a home builder Austin Texas to construct a property of our design closer to our son's school.
Because the school is K-12, we know that both of our children will be attending for some time. Therefore, it makes sense to move a little closer for conveniences sake. In addition, we have outgrown our current home; with two young children, a three bedroom property is a bit tight. We don't have room for overnight guests. We don't have a dedicated playroom (our dining room currently holds our children's toys). There are several things that we want that we know a home builder can help us with.
Luckily, we have the gift of time. We do not have to worry about selling our house quickly, because I can drive my son for the time being. Therefore, we can work to set up our new property and get our old one ready to sell.
